ISLE OF WIGHT FUTSAL ARENA

ISLE OF WIGHT FUTSAL ARENA OVERVIEW

Our latest arena project represents our hub on the Isle of Wight, and we are delighted to have launched it in partnership with Isle of Wight College. It is the only state-of-the-art Futsal facility on the Island, and as such IW College are the only provider on the Island to offer our NCA Futsal Programme.

The arena provides a sports education facility for the College, along with all of the features that you would expect from one of our original Futsal arenas. The facility includes a hi-tech Futsal pitch for both adult and youth games. This pitch is also available for multi-sport use including netball, basketball, handball, volleyball and roller derby.

We have jointly created a vibrant urban environment in which you will find music and video whilst you play; changing facilities, spectator areas and interactive zones; modern vending facilities and ample car parking. We also provide a wide range of activities; from themed leagues and tournaments through to kids clubs and community education courses.

What’s more, because our arenas provide indoor facilities, we can therefore guarantee all year round availability. The arena is conveniently located in the heart of the Island and is served by excellent public transport links plus all major roads into Newport. Entry into the arena is FREE.

FUTSAL QUOTES

Lionel Messi

“As a little boy in Argentina, I played Futsal on the streets and for my club. It was tremendous fun, and it really helped me become who I am today. I used to play a lot of Futsal on the street and with Newell’s Old Boys. It was a really fun game that’s helped me a great deal.”
- Lionel Messi

Alun Francis

“The Futsal centre of excellence for the North West brings an excellent new facility to the College and community. Students studying sport benefit from excellent teaching and coaching alongside real experiences of work to help their future career. This exciting new development cements the College’s high standing in sports and the sports on offer for the Oldham community.”
- Alun Francis, Oldham College Principal

Pele

“Futsal requires you to think and play fast. It makes everything easier when you later switch to football. Futsal was important in helping to develop my ball control, quick thinking, passing…also for dribbling, balance, and concentration. Futsal was very, very important, no doubt.”
- Pelé

Frank Rodriguez

“Sport is essential for the health of our communities and we chose the Isle of Wight for our next hub because it’s a bustling and active area that we felt would embrace the Futsal game. There is a revolution happening here in England in the way that small-sided football is played. It’s fantastic to see the UK starting to buzz about the game.”
- Frank Rodriguez, @Futsal Group CEO
