Wednesday Night Ladies League
Under Estimated v Stone Army
Referee – Marlene
First Half:
Under Estimated got the game underway and got off to a great start after taking a 1-0 lead with a tidy finish! Stone Army wasted a few good chances after a couple of great through balls but eventually managed to equalise with a decent finish straight through the keepers legs. Stone Army then started to rue their missed chances after Under Estimated then grabbed 2 goals in quick succession to go 3-1 up with the third goal being an excellent strike! Stone Army continued to try the through balls through the middle which eventually paid off after one found its way to their striker who made the simplest of tap ins to make in 3-2, they then went on to score a quality goal in off the post with just 3 seconds of the 1st half left to make in 3-3 going into the break.

Second Half:
After a very entertaining 1st half, Stone Army got the 2nd half underway. Stone Army made it 4-3 shortly after the break after a shot rebounded back to a Stone Army player after a very good 1st save from the Under Estimated keeper, unfortunately she couldn’t keep out the second shot. Swiftly after, Under Estimated levelled the scores again after a neat finish straight into the bottom left corner – This proved to be the final goal then as a very quiet 10 minutes followed.
Very entertaining game with some good finishes and two top performances from both keepers.
Final Score : 4-4
Player of the match : Claudia Mbanga (Under Estimated Goal Keeper)

Tuesday Night Men’s League
Vectra Spares v The Lions
Referee – Ikhlaq
First Half:
The Lions got the first half started and got off to an excellent start with some good play which eventually led to them taking the lead after a quick break put the forward through 1 on 1 with the Vectra Spares keeper who kept himself well composed to finish nicely. A yellow card for The Lions after a bad tackle from behind and a few good saves later; Vectra Spares eventually equalised with a neat finish after the Vectra Spares defender showed great vision to put the forward through on goal with a great pass from his own half! Vectra Spares then went ahead and took the lead with a nice finish, in off the upright. The Lions then had another good spell but failed to to make their chances count after some bad finishing and some very bad luck – They hit the woodwork at least 5 times!! Vectra Spares then took advantage of The Lions missed chances and went 3-1 up just before the half time whistle.

Second Half:
Vectra Spares got the 2nd half started and were soon under heavy pressure from The Lions after some very silky skills from both forwards, with both forcing a several excellent saves out of the Vectra Spares keeper. After more bad luck – hitting the post several more times – Vectra Spares took advantage again and went 4-1 up! However, Vectra Spares started to tire half way through the 2nd half and The Lions were able to take full advantage of this with 2 great goals, one in off the post and the other a cheeky tap in after smartly beating 2 defenders. At this point, the Vectra Spares keeper was just about keeping them in it after making several more great saves but these were to no avail as The Lions finally got an equaliser to complete a fantastic comeback. The Lions then piled the pressure on in the final few minutes but could not get that winning goal, it finally ended 4-4 – a fair result after 2 fantastic halves of Futsal!
One of the best games i’ve seen here – 2 superb performances from both keepers but a great double save from the Vectra Spares keeper meant he just about edged it for the man of the match award.
Final Score : 4-4
Player of the match : Igors Runais (Vectra Spares Goal Keeper)
