@Futsal @Grass Roots Football Show

@Futsal will be appearing at The Grass Roots Football Show (GRFS) as the small sided football partner for the event, which will feature what is the fastest growing sport on the planet - 5 aside Futsal. 

The largest indoor 5 aside Futsal arena in Europe is being opened in Birmingham later this year by the UK’s leading operator @Futsal Group. To mark the event the GRFS and @Futsal will be featuring the “Futsal Soccerena”, an interactive playing area, which uses state-of-the-art indoor football flooring as used by FIFA in previous Futsal World Cup events. Leading Futsal coaches, including the former England Manager Greame Dell will be dropping in to supervise interactive clinics and taster sessions delivered by the @Futsal team. The programme of events for the whole duration of the show is really exciting and will include:      

• Friday 4^th June will feature The Education Day: Heads, PE teachers, and potential students will get a chance to talk to our education specialists and pro-club partners such as Cardiff City FC and Reading FC, to find out about our pioneering Education and Futsal Scholarship.
• Saturday 5^th June will feature our Academy Day: Watch teams from pro club academies and leading Futsal clubs play a series of exhibition matches demonstrating how clubs are adopting Futsal as a core part of their development plans going forward.
• Sunday 6^th June will feature the Grass Roots Futsal World Cup Festival: This will prove to be great fun as select teams from Birmingham FA play in a world cup festival where the teams will play in the kit of the country they are drawn to represent. This will be a special feature so please come and participate.

Managing Director Frank Rodriguez says, “ This event will really give everybody from grass roots to elite football levels the chance to see how easy Futsal is to play and the global appeal of the  game – it’s the perfect lead-in to the World Cup starting on the following weekend”. 

The @Futsal team would be pleased to meet any teams, leagues or clubs from the Birmingham area or from across the UK that want to find out more about the game or pre-register to play in the new Birmingham International Futsal Arena when it opens later this year – this facility will truly be the centre of excellence for the game in the UK.
